The City of Hamtramck Community and Economic Development (CED) Department is pleased to announce that the first of four greenway segments planned for Hamtramck is now under construction.
The bike lane project was initiated by the City of Hamtramck in 2017, awarded through a TAP (Transportation Alternatives Program) Grant in 2018, and approved by City Council in 2018.

Businesses along Hamtramck greenway segments are invited to fill out a survey (https://hamtramck.us/joe-louis-greenway/) to give ideas about future improvements to the area and share about specific business needs. Two surveys are available online.
